What is the importance of racial harmony? Well, let us look in a different manner to find the answer. In a typical family, if there is no harmony, all the members will always quarrel with one another, and there will be chaos. Nobody will have peace. Nothing can be done successfully. If family member A knows something bad will happen to family member B, yet do not wish to tell because of the often bickering with him/her, and if the thing really did happen, family member B will not feel good. We do NOT think that is something we should all learn from. Just because they are not on good terms, they do not want to warn others about what will happen, and disaster struck. This is not good. If family A is on bad terms with family B, a different religion, then it will be worse than the above scenario. They will be criticising each others religion. If the multi-racial Singapore do not have racial harmony, the whole country will be in chaos. The different races parliament members will fight instead of protecting the people under their care. The government will also be disturbed. Singapore will be corrupted. Now we guess you know the answer to the question. Racial harmony prevents riots and wars from happening, thus keeping us people safe.
